David Rosenthal: Landscapes at the Alaska State Museum March 23 - April 28, 2012
"These paintings are representations of my experiences traveling to some of the most beautiful and remote places on earth. All these paintings were created using drawings done in the field, memory, and knowledge gained from experience. Using traditional painting techniques, layers of glazes over an under painting, and eliminating any stylization or other marks of the artist, I create an image that is real. These paintings allow me to share my experiences in the wonderful places that I have had the good fortune to visit."
